Account Executive

Job Description

Account Executive (AE) will report directly to the Sales Manager and will promote PreferredPartner and IBM software within sales geography and existing account base to drive new Passport Advantage software sales opportunities.  AE will work with existing and new strategic partnerships to identify and close IBM software business in the partner’s existing customer base as well as in AE’s geography. Some travel required (typically less than 20%).

Key Responsibilities

The role of this position will be in three primary areas:

  • Software License Sales - Approximately 80% of total responsibilities - AE will work with strategic partners to identify, qualify, and close Passport Advantage software business within their existing and new accounts. AE must be well versed in Passport Advantage licensing and will use this knowledge to cross-sell and up-sell in new and existing accounts.
  • SIP promotion - Approximately 10% of total responsibilities - AE will work with new and existing IBM contacts to promote software Influencers from SIP. These Influencers deploy many of the solutions we sell and are a key to our success.
  • Marketing Strategy Development and Execution - Approximately 10% of total responsibilities – AE will work with new and existing IBM contacts to best determine a strategy to leverage SIP and the Influencer community within SIP. AE will work with PreferredPartner marketing rep to utilize existing and new, creative techniques to best generate new business with IBM contacts and their existing and new customers.

Qualifications

College degree with minimum two years sales experience required. Technology sales experience a plus.

Compensation

This is a full-time position offering top earning potential.  Compensation package will consist of salary, based on experience, plus annual commissions paid quarterly, based on personal sales quota.  All business related expenses to be paid by PreferredPartner. Health and dental coverage provided by PreferredPartner as required.
